We live in such a microwave world that many us expect results like yesterday, even though we haven’t put in as much work or as much time as we should. When we don’t get the results, we want to compare ourselves to people who have been doing that same thing for a longer time than we have.
I firmly believe that big things happen when you do the little things right, and how you do the little things is how you do the big things. I like to view life through the lens of compounding, I’m often not trying to do big things per time, don’t get me wrong I have massive dreams, they are broken down into ridiculously tiny steps.
The journey to realizing this was hard, painful and seemed to have taken forever, I spent several nights learning how to create in a certain way, how to write in a certain way that was obviously not authentic. I wanted to know how to write 5000 worded blog posts and create the perfect brand aesthetic that obviously looked like someone else’s.
